During my time at Sotheby’s, I had the opportunity to contribute to high-impact valuation and client engagement initiatives within the Jewelry Department.
Spearheaded a historical valuation analysis of over 400 client records, ranging from the mid-20th century to the present, identifying high-value individuals through data contextualization, archival review, and pattern mapping. I compiled my findings into a strategic outreach plan that informed targeted marketing approaches.
Collaborated with specialists to support appraisals of major consignments, conducting provenance research and comparative market analysis that resulted in the generation of 80+ detailed valuation reports. These informed auction strategies and supported successful sales outcomes.
Independently catalogued consignment data, streamlining client sweep processes and ensuring record accuracy by standardizing input formats and verifying documentation.
Led a capstone initiative proposing the strategic auctioning of digital assets such as premium domain names to position Sotheby’s as a leader in digital innovation. Our thoroughly researched proposal examined market trends, legal feasibility, and competitive positioning, and was presented to a panel of four senior executives overseeing various sectors of the company. The final pitch was delivered in front of 200+ Sotheby’s employees and received first prize among the 2024 intern cohort.
